Set, Coil and Hold

Setting the body and the club correctly is the key to developing power. In this lesson Gary runs through the fundamentals of setting the club, coiling correctly and developing effortless power.

The Compressed Coil

The Compressed Coil feeling can really help people who lift up and tilt going back. Coiling correctly also allows the Right Side to hit up and going though without and flip.

Coil Up and Over

If you are coiled up correctly you can start down with your arms without having to make adjustments to your posture. In this lesson Gary explains how to stay high with the lead side and still over when you coil.

The Late Coil

Turning early with steep shoulders usually makes the club go in and then across-the-line. In this lesson Gary explains the late coil in the RSS and how to come round with the shaft correctly on your turn.

Learning to Coil

Learning to Coil correctly is the key to developing direct arm and shaft speed coming down. In this video Gary explains the correct arm structure and posture at set-up, RSS club-face angles, and the difference between coil and turn.

Radius, Coil and Trajectory

Gary explains the importance of mastering abbreviated swings first and then building them up. RSS Tournament winners, Brad Lamb and Jason Pavese, talk about how they change the trajectory and flight of the ball.

Hold the Coil

Get the coil, hold the coil! If you don’t have any Right Side depth going back you can’t sink into and hit around your left side. In this lesson Gary talks about setting the club properly, turning the right shoulder and the main reasons people can’t coil properly.

Resistance and Coil

Proper Coil can only be achieved with the correct Posture and Shape. In this Lesson Gary talks about how to set the club correctly on the hand-line and shows how to stop a hook by coming inside the right way.

Coil and Arm Speed

This video was taken at this years Right Sided Tournament, Gary talks about radius, what a turn is and why some people have trouble developing arm speed.

Coil and Store-up

In this Live Lesson Gary explains the main causes of power loss. He shows why developing power and store-up is dependent on the correct direction of turn or coil. This lesson is also a good one for developing true-loft at impact.
