Gavin Coles shot a first round 69 and is in a tie for 8th in the Puerto Rico Open, on the Pga Tour. Gary heads for the USA tomorrow to spend 3 weeks with Gavin and Rod Pampling in Florida. Rod is also playing this week and opened with a solid round of 71.

Rod Pampling finished with 4 birdies the back nine at Scottsdale, and moved himself into the top 15 on 8 under par. This week he was tied for 4th in greens in regulation, and 10th in driving distance. A great start to the 2012 season after his 8th place finish last week.

Rod Pampling T8 at Torrey Pines
Rod Pampling finished the Farmers Insurance Open with 71 and a 10 under par total. He played solid all day and picked up $162,000 for his 8th place finish. This was a great kick-start to the 2012 season and will give him some confidence going into this weeks event in Pheonix.

Gavin Coles has started his year well on the Pga Tour after rounds of 69 and 66, he is 5 behind the lead in Sony Open in Hawaii. He holed a full shot from 194 metres on day 1 and followed it up with 4 birdies and no bogeys in his second round.
