Getting the Body Shape and posture right at the start is often one of the biggest challenges for students and some of our Tour Players alike. This month Gary answers a question on Over-Shape and explains why some students can’t use the secret correctly if they hyper extend their left arm at address. We have a new video that goes through all sorts of bunker shots in detail. New Tour Players Lessons, Before and After Video and the first of our Members Swing Analysis series. If you think your pretty close to being Right Sided, send us your swing and each month Gary will analyse the best swing of the month.
What a great video!
I have completely misunderstood the shape and “straightness” of left arm. This has caused me to perform countless contortions and weird looking twitches to get into a “proper” setup. I was much too stiff in my left arm and rigid in my setup.
Tomorrow will be spent on the range until the Women’s Open is on T.V.
Gary…Have been under Alex’s tutelage once/month for the past three years. And am most pleased. I am 77 and have shot my age on occasion since age 71. Been playing 60 years fro 4 to 10 hdcp. Taught for Jimmy Ballard in the 90s after 34 years in the USN.
It should be getting easier with a stroke grace each year, but alas I suffer from LOD.
Have come to grips with that of course. This note is just to let you know I cherish your website…on it at least once a week and learn something useful each time.
My regression is always slide, lift, flip etc. ..frustrating. Thanks to you and Alex
my shape is OK. Schlee taught me right wrist long ago, but I never mastered until I
your recent shape lessons re arms before address….most helpful.
Anyway, keep up the great site. My dream is to travel to your teaching site before I go to the other side of the divot. However I know you are very busy.
Looking forward to meeting you someday.
Warmest regards, Phillip McNall, San Ramon CA
