Peter Senior: Short Putting Lesson

This lesson was shot after Peter Senior finished 1st in ball striking and last in putting in a Champions Tour event in September. He was missing a lot of short putts. If you have too much Putter-face rotation short putts are the most difficult.

Gary on Brad Faxon and Putting

Peter Senior played a practice round at the Senior British Open with the king of putting, Brad Faxon. In this video he talks about his work with Peter Senior, what Brad Faxon does with his putting and how it has helped.

PGA Tour Putting

There are still quite a few different looking putting techniques on the PGA Tour. Here are a few recent shots from the putting green for anyone messing around with their putting. Video feautures Keegan Bradley, Corey Pavin, Chad Campbell and some other more conventional putting strokes.

Putting Drills

Here are a few putting drills our players use to get their body, arms and putter face working together when they practice. The geometry of the arms and wrists and the relationship to the midline of the body allow the body to turn in the right direction.

Putting Patterns

In this video Luke Edwin talks a bit more about putting posture and what we work on with our players as well as some common patterns and their causes.

Putting Shape

Getting the shape right at the start with putting allow the wrists to stay at the same angle. Here is a simple drill that helps to get the putting shape right and start the ball on line.

No Loops

Most right handed golfers struggle with left to right putts. In this video we explain why Paul Azinger’s ‘black to white’ putting is so good for arm structure and fixing putting loops.

Shaft Plane

Understanding shaft plane is the key to consistent putting. In this video Gary demonstrates a simple drill that will stop you looping the putter and create a more consistent stroke.

Build a Stroke from Scratch

Learn to build your putting stroke from scratch. In this video Gary and Luke talk about how they would start to build a tour putting stroke with some simple drills.

Impact Fix and the Pop Stroke

Luke, What are your thoughts on a “pop” putting stroke, like Brandt Snedeker’s? If you were going to adopt that putting style, what would change for you? And what would remain the same? Thanks,Ed Hannan
