Store-up and the Throwing Motion

People who ‘chuck’ and ‘cast’ the club almost always have an anti-throwing motion with their body and arms. In this video Gary explains how to maintain store-up and the importance of the throwing motion.

Store-up and Casting

If your arm structure is correct at set-up and you maintain your radius going back you will not cast the club. In this video Gary talks about how to come around at the ball and still maintain the angles of your wrists.

Coil and Store-up

In this Live Lesson Gary explains the main causes of power loss. He shows why developing power and store-up is dependent on the correct direction of turn or coil. This lesson is also a good one for developing true-loft at impact.

Store-up: Bringing the Club-Shaft Around to Impact

It is very difficult to bring the club-shaft around if your back-swing is not right. This video gives a good visual of the correct movement of the club-shaft and body.

Store-up and the Right Arm

You need store-up to get power. This student was aware he had a problem with his right arm and wanted more distance with the driver. Gary does a drill at the end of this video that is a great one for people who come down steeply and lack store-up.

Store-up

This student is a good example of how you can get power from store-up by setting up properly and turning in the correct direction. “Coiling” vs shifting and then turning.

Store-up and Cocking on the Downswing Part 2

Part 2

Store-up and Cocking on the Downswing

Hi,    Store up – Pamps has plenty and hits it far.    The downswing angle is increased, not only ‘stored’ from the backswing.    How do you prevent this angle opening up too early (similar to a cast as you would see in an Over the Top Swing) in the right sided swing?    […]

The Wrists and Over-swing

People that over-swing usually lack store-up and compression. If you understand the correct wrists angles and role of lead side of the body you can fix an over-swing and get more power with less motion.

Arm Structure and the Throwing Angle

The Store-up of the club is easier to get of you are in the throwing position. In the lesson Gary explains how the arm structure is created.

Arm Structure and the Throwing Angle

September 16, 2022 by Admin

The Store-up of the club is easier to get if you are in the throwing position. In this full lesson Gary explains how the arm structure is created. Many players struggle to maintain their body angles when they add speed because they get out of position early. Not this one! Learning to start correctly and […]

Shallow Early

February 4, 2021 by Admin

If you have the Shape and the Coil going back you can shallow the shaft early in the downswing. In the RSS the club comes down the right arm and around into impact. A lot of better players are steeper and have to shallow the club later. In this video Gary explains how great ball […]

The Turning Point

April 3, 2020 by Admin

There needs to be a point where turn stops and comes back again. People who tilt and over-rotate lose their original angle and can’t get proper store-up coming down. In this new Live Lesson Gary explains the turning point, throwing darts and getting more power with less effort.

Inside Wide Vs Inside Steep

October 14, 2019 by Admin

Understanding Swing Radius is the key to creating power without giving up consistency. A lot of players get narrow coming down because they are trying to get lag the wrong way, they tend to hit it low and hook the ball.  In this video Gary explains how to get store-up without pulling the club down.
